Soundnetwork has put out an invitation for artists to experiment with interaction in an open hackspace; use Arduino boards, sensors and the paint shop space itself and along the way learn from other artists. They want artists to try out an idea in The Cooperative gallery space alongside other artists sharing practice and technical knowledge. There are no fees or expenses unfortunately just space time, decent wifi, power, technical support and a coffee machine! Go for as long as you want in the week and along the way you will be experimenting in front of a curious open as the space will be open to the public from Wednesday; its about opening up practice to like minded peers and gallery visitors.
A quick video rewind of Social Media Cafe Liverpool from earlier this week. If you are interested in finding out when the events are taking place then join up to the mailing list available via the subscribe button on the left or follow @smcliv on twitter.
