Howduino is a free, one or two day workshop about connecting the internet to the real world, breathing life into inanimate objects and creating new ways to interact with things. It's for artists, programmers, designers, hobbyists and anyone else interested in robotics, technology, communication and interaction.

First lecture in the "Public Lectures in Astronomy" series organised by the ARI. Dr Bob Fosbury (former director of the Space Telescope - European Coordinating Facility in Garching) will be discussing the Hubbble Telescope.

Maker Night is back next month - well it does take place every month you know but now it is held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at Liverpool Art and Design Academy.
The meeting starts at 6:30pm and everyone gathers in the downstairs cafe before entering the fabrication lab or mystisystem lab as I call it.

To fly like a bird...and why flapping your arms wont work!
At the next edition of SciBar in Liverpool, Andrew White, Senior Designer at BAE Systems, will talk on the history and science of flight. Covering the major developments leading to flight today and a brief insight into what the future could hold. There will also be an opportunity to test your own aerospace engineering skills and build your own model!
