Art in Liverpool FM

art in liverpool fm logo webIt's my own personal history project stretching back to 2007 - with hundreds of recorded interviews, podcasts and plays. This section of the site is pretty old so don't expect it to work all the time and ignore it asking for Real Player to be loaded.

News

Tracy Emin's Roman Standard goes missing again and then turns up after being handed in at a police station. The Joyful Trees Abores Litae is off more than on as locals enjoy turning it off and Biennial staff then have to turn it back on again.

And Art in Liverpool FM -  Due to start on Thursday 18th September with a new podcast feed so visit www.defnetmedia.com to look out for that. With the Biennial coming up it is impossible to include everything that is going on in one show and to be honest we aren't sure you would listen to it.So we are going to be offering daily podcasts letting you know what openings, talks and performances are taking place that day

Round up of the week.

Hive at the Bluecoat - no 3 of 4 - Ian managed to make it down to listen to Chris Watsons work recorded at Another Place by Anthony Gormley. Ian has been down to all three events this year by Hive and is eagerly awaiting the forth.

The exhibition comprises 20-30 ink rubbings and 20-30 pigment works, performance, installation, symposium and dinner.
“The ink rubbings document the use of objects by humans and the traces left in material. They tell the stories, record the signs and carvings of daily life, giving evidence of past and present. The pigments are made of stone, bricks or clay, any material used to construct housing. Houses give shelter to people and also record history; working with the pigments of historic buildings sets the pure substance of colour free… The material matters – in the service of concept.” More
