Spherical peg in a Cube hole - Bio-Engineered Football

Pigs_Bladder_Football_RedBlueThe World's First Bio-Engineered Football will be unveiled at CUBE Gallery Manchester, as part of this years Abandon Normal Devices Festival on Wednesday 29th of August 2012,
This is a culmination of my ongoing work, Pigs Bladder Football, an unorthodox art and science collaboration, which I have been developing for the past two years, working with Prof. John Hunt and Theun Van Veen, at the University of Liverpool Clinical Engineering Research Unit. 

Pigs Bladder Football is a new commission for Abandon Normal Devices 2012. The work is funded by the Wellcome Trust and has been awarded the London 2012 Inspire Mark. The work has been produced in close collaboration with the University of Liverpool Clinical Engineering Unit.

Exhibition continues at CUBE 30th August until 7th September 2012
