WALKER - High Kicks and Low Life: Toulouse-Lautrec prints

An exhibition of evocative prints that portray theatrical life and studies of daily life, including Lautrec’s very personal observations of the lives of prostitutes. The exhibition includes depictions of the dancer Jane Avril and the actress Sarah Bernhardt, as well as Lautrec’s iconic poster La Goulue at the Moulin Rouge. A British Museum Tour.
An exquisite exhibition of around 50 prints by the artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (1864-1901), will depict the glamour and style of 19th century Parisian theatre and daily life.

In parallel with The Bluecoat's 'Global Studio' exhibition The Bridewell Gallery draws together diverse work from Liverpool's artists' studios. Our attention is diverted inward from the global to the domestic sphere and, as the title suggests, this scrutiny reveals all is not well.

Picasso: Peace and Freedom will reveal a fascinating new insight into the artist’s life as a tireless political activist and campaigner for peace, challenging the widely-held view of the artist as creative genius, playboy and compulsive extrovert.
'This Matter' is an exploration into the physical nature of landscapes, drawing together the changing ideas of what is natural and unnatural within our everyday surroundings.
