Liverpool Sci Bar - Virtual Engineering

Sci BarAt the next edition of SciBar in Liverpool, Professor Gareth Padfield, Emeritus Professor of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Liverpool, will talk about "Virtual Engineering".

With increasing levels of complexity in aerospace design, new approaches are required to assure quality of the design and quantify the level of risk and impact for all decisions. Join Professor Padfield, as he describes how Virtual Engineering (VE) is used in Supporting Design and Development across the Aerospace Life Cycle.

Gareth will give examples current VE activities applied to the design of aerospace systems at Liverpool's Virtual Engineering Centre, drawing on case studies including the assembly of wings for large transport aircraft, qualifying the aircraft-ship dynamic interface and developing handling qualities for advanced tilt rotor configurations.

Come along on Tuesday 6th March to the Ship and Mitre and find out more.  As always the audience will be welcome to give their own opinions and ask questions.  Remember there's no such thing as a silly question at SciBar!
