NEWS
Liverpool Wiki - everyone should put there stuff on here www.liverpoolwiki.org

Quick explanation - What is this wiki?
This is your community wiki for the city of Liverpool. We're just beginning and you can help. The Liverpool Wiki is a collective guide for residents and visitors to Liverpool created by the people here. Do you know a great park? A place to get a snack after midnight? A good place to study? A piece of Liverpool history? A hidden gem in Liverpool? Create a page or edit or add to a new one.

EVERYONE CAN EDIT THIS WEBSITE! (the wiki that is) And we need your help for it to be successful. Tell your friends and edit some pages - why not start with some Wanted Pages, or check out the Liverpool Wiki Guide, or stumble on a random page, like this one: Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse? Search for a page, if it's not there, create it!

Round UP of the Week
Liverpool Art Prize opened on Thurs eve - looks great, about 800 attended PV, great atmosphere, nice set from Mayming in thre Cafe.

Also opened 'Climate for Change' at FACT - had a look at the weekend - there's a swap shop in the media lounge and workshops in gallery 1, currently Eyebeam are in there creating the Liverpool Wiki. Loads of short events going on so check out the dedicated website at http://climateforchange.fact.co.uk/

And Until it Hurts at Open Eye - also saw this at the weekend, I like the series of small photos running round the wall by Sascha Weidner and Markus Hansen's video projection Other People's Feelings (2000-5) presents paired portraits in which the artist assumes the posture and expression of his sitters

This Week - It's all about Thursday

Thursday at the Cornerstone Jason Jones - ‘Self Observed’ by Jason Jones.

‘Self Observed’ attempts to re-evaluate the typical male within contemporary painting. Drawing on aspects of the pressure and stress of modern living, work, emotional, sociological and psychological interaction, the works explore the tension and conflict that can exist, but is not necessarily seen, between the body/self and external forces, stimuli and physical surroundings.

‘The Bauhaus is acknowledged as having been one of the great schools of Art and Design. This talk will work backwards from today, by way of some European landmark schools of Art and Design, to engage with the mission and strategic achievements of the Bauhaus itself.
