Round up of the last week
Although the Stuart Sutcliffe retrospective opened a couple of weeks ago the viewing was only last week at the Victoria Gallery - there is a great catalogue, and some great work on show. The highlight of the week has been the Anthony Jadunath exhibition at the Contemporary Urban Centre -This outsider art is a wonderful example of this genre. It's a lot more affordable than the Syuart Sutcliffe work and a must see.
Egg Space, at the Egg Cafe on Newington - Organic Matters opened and at the Mocha Lounge the curators of the People’s Centre exhibitions have organised a new exhibtion called the ‘Fab Four’ featuring Joe Ankrah, Anthony Brown, Stuart Easton and John Filis.
Also started this week is a Hubbub at the Bluecoat which will be running from Wed to Sat each week with various activities so you don;t have to go home after work before that night out with friends - but be careful as although some nights or evenings i should say they have live music other evenings they have knitting. Mmmm maybe the clatter clatter clatter of the knitting needles is not something that i would wish to listen to after work. But the Bluecoat also has Green Spot, a mini-forest in front courtyard until September 14th.
