Join Liverpool Biennial at Camp and Furnace (67 Greenland Street, Liverpool L10BY) for an Open event hosted by Liverpool Biennial with Artangel and BBC Radio 4  to hear about an open invitation for artists to come forward with ground-breaking project proposals which will transform the UK’s cultural landscape.

Previous Artangel Open calls have led to some of the most iconic projects of the past decade – Michael Landy’s Break Down, the very public destruction in a department store on Oxford Street of absolutely everything the artist owned; Jeremy Deller's The Battle of Orgreave in South Yorkshirethe re-enactment of a dark day in the conflict between police and colliery workers during the 1984 Miners' Strike; Roger Hiorns's Seizure, the brilliant blue crystal council flat in South London; and Clio Barnard's award-winning  filmThe Arbor shot on the Buttershaw Estate in Bradford.

If you're a visual artist, filmmaker, writer, composer, theatre maker, choreographer, producer or an artist working in the digital space, this is your chance to hear about the opportunities Open offers, meet with Artangel Co-Director, James Lingwood, Artangel Producer, Seb Emina and Artist, Michael Landy and hear about his previous commissions for Open Platform. After the initial presentation and discussion there will be a chance to talk informally with the Artangel team and start thinking about what Open could mean to you.

Admission is free, but booking is essential. Click HERE to reserve your place.
