Art in Liverpool FmThe Biennial is over and Ian has a Carousel in his Living room after the Biennial auction, and as we enjoy the rotating music we discuss places to go to buy arty gifts for Christmas. But the Liverpool art world goes on with more exhibitions DING DONG as Leslie Philips might say. We also offer some hints on staying warm for volunteers in Gallery spaces.

NEWS
The Liverpool Biennial is finished but some of the public realm works from the International 08 exhibition will be staying a little longer – including Ai Weiwei’s Web of Light (until January), Atelier Bow-Wow’s Rockscape (until September 09) and Diller Scofidio + Renfro’s Arbores Laetae (throughout next year and beyond). The Closing auction was on Sunday 30th November 2008 which went well, raising nearly £2,000, some of it from Ian, and he got a few bargains - But not the Carousel.

Where to buy you Christmas gifts

We discuss great places to go to to get your gifts - suggestions being The Bluecoat Display Centre, The Bluecoat itself, Editions in Thomas St, NML, and the Tate Shop. Or if you are thinking about buying online at amazon then visit www.artinliverpool.com as Art in Liverpool.com receives a commission for every purchase you make.

Moving on - There's also an ongoing silent auction at the NICE08 exhibition next to Bluecoat Display Centre. Its now December so officially the Christmas season has started with some nice online advent calendars and e-cards at NML website for instance - also a few events there including xmas shopping evenings.

NOVAS Contemporary Urban Centre have reduced their gallery opening times - now closed Monday AND Tuesday (except by appt)
