RatholeRadio 40 – 28th Nov 10

rattyWinter greetings from Rathole headquarters. It’s icy here in the UK at the moment but I attempted to warm everyone up with some hearty tunes. A bit of Nerdcore, some rock, some acoustic tunes, a bit of funk and even some ragga. What more could you want? Ok don’t answer that. I also played a live song on the electric guitar this time. It was great to be on live again and chatting to people in the IRC. Hope you enjoy the show.

RatholeRadio 39 – 14th Nov 10

Greetings everyone. Settle in for another episode of Rathole Radio. No live broadcast this time I’m afraid because at the usual show time I was in London at a Public Enemy gig. You have to forgive me, I couldn’t miss this. I pre-recorded this show but it still contains the eclectic mix of great music you’re used to. There’s also an acoustic performance to enjoy, so I hope you will. Let’s rock!

This month's Liverpool Acoustic Live takes place on Friday 26th November at the View Two Gallery on Mathew Street and features three very different, but extremely talented, performers at the top of their game.

We're really excited that Jon Gomm will be headlining in his first Liverpool gig for over four years. Jon is one of the finest percussive guitarists in the UK today, and we're delighted that he's agreed to travel over from Leeds to play for us. Those of you lucky enough to get a ticket are in for a real treat!

The Halloween release

OK this is a bit of a back catalogue release from Defnet Media especially for Halloween.

These 3 ghost stories emerged from a conversation with a.P.A.t.T, who had been looking to set up a performance of ghost stories with a different musician in different rooms of a house. We started to work together on a project where people would wander around the house and hear and see a different story within each room. The works originally were intended to add flavour and atmosphere alongside video and music. If you walked into the room you would hear, not a story, just fragments of someone's life and fears. The limits of space and time meant that it became a  performance in one situation, so they had to develop into stories with varying success.

A weekend camping trip to North Wales ended up lasting a day longer than planned and I only just arrived home in time for this show. Unprepared, tired and sun burnt I somehow managed to pull off another Rathole Radio. I enjoyed it a lot and everyone in the chatroom seemed to as well. Have a listen for yourself and see what you think.
