Do as Matt Booth does, the web designer come event organiser who upon feeling a bit left out in the cold and wanting to talk to others about his design practice decided to set up a regular event where web workers like himself could meet, talk and disucss the erudite matters pertaining to web design.

This baby is gonna be lovely so let's celebrate as we finally have a Mini Makerfaire in the region.  It's on the 28th-29th July, and just down the road in Manchester so will definitely be worth a visit. so if you like robots, and electronics and the Internet of Things then this event is just for you

WARNING: A DIFFERENT NIGHT OUT!

Launching on Friday 17 February at Zion Arts Centre in Hulme, Manchester with long-standing greenroom favourites Third Angel's new show What I Heard About The World, Word of Warning promises a season of the bizarre, the beautiful and the best new shows for anyone looking for a different night out.

Are we getting the most out of Media City?

Media CityBased in Salford not Manchester the BBC's second largest production centre, BBC North aims to build stronger relationships with audiences across the UK. And so it should as we all got sick of London centric programmes and we looked forward to the move North. The centre is at Salford Quays (nice) and will house 2,300 staff and a number of BBC departments – including BBC Sport, BBC Children's and Radio 5 Live.

Seeking emergency accommodation…

In June 2011, greenroom, Manchester’s iconic theatre for all things new, contemporary and experimental closed its doors for the final time. Beyond the loss of one of the Manchester‘s ‘hidden treasures’, there is also the story of the creative community it nurtured over the course of its existence, as a ‘home’ for artists, giving opportunities to literally thousands of young people looking to take their first steps into an often precarious career.
