@ JANEK SCHAEFER' SOUNDART @ THE BLUECOAT

9th JANUARY 11am-4pm Bluecoat Foyer Space

FREE & FAMILY FRIENDLY

Work with SoundNetwork & Bluecoat artists to make lofi loop records and vinyl hacks then make your own record sleeve.

Inspired by Janek's work, you will take vinyl 12" records, broken in 2 and glue them back together with the wrong record to make the simplest mashup possible; remixing music physically in the most basic way. Simple stickers on vinyl make records loop over in the way you want them to.  The results are recorded and DJ'd live by you and the artists and can be taken home to keep!

What does Cheryl Coles album sound like physically glued onto a vangelis album, or Tom Jones glued onto 50 cent? Terrible to be sure but fun! Who knows the result could be a magical frisson of cultural play destined for number 1...
