The festival runs alongside the annual TUC Conference, attended by over 1,000 national delegates, which this year is being held at the BT Convention Centre in Liverpool.
This unique music festival will take place at The Picket in Jordan Street between Saturday 12th September and Wednesday 16th when the venue will play host to five days of music and song to unite like-minded people across the city.
Liverpool band Western Promise, veterans of gigs with The Clash and The Buzzcoks amongst others, will open this year’s festival. Past and present artists who have performed during the festival include Billy Bragg, Chumbawumba, Dick Gaughan and Roy Bailey.
Tickets for each of the five nights are on sale now at www.workingclassmusic.org.uk
The event has previously been sponsored by North West TUC, Unite the Union, Communication Workers Union, Liverpool Unison, Merseyside Fire Brigade Union, Another Media and the festival is looking for organisations, who wish to build their profile amongst people who care about social justice, to sponsor this event.
