     I was lucky enough to make it down to the Innovate UK event last week at Baltic Creative, the creative hub of Liverpool where loads of app makers, designers and generla web developers have offices.     Euclid, the UK's leading independent provider of EU funding information to the arts & culture sector, will be running one of their CulturEuro seminars in Liverpool next Monday, 10 March. This seminar will provide the latest details of the new EU funding programmes from 2014 relevant to the arts & culture sector, including Creative Europe, Erasmus Plus, Horizon 2020, Europe for Citizens, the new Structural Funds and Interreg, as well as opportunities for projects involving partnersoutside Europe.

    With Nesta anouncing that five arts and cultural projects will receive funding from the £7 million Digital R&D Fund for the Arts earlier this month - is it about time that we saw more of this money coming to the North West more speciaficaly Liverpool based arts and cultural organisations.  

    These R&D projects are testing the use of digital technologies to widen audience access and engagement in the arts, with the purpose of developing useful products, services and knowledge for the wider the arts and cultural sector so surely we could be applying for some of this money here.
