As part of the Independents Liverpool Biennial 2008 the Liverpool Acoustic daily update will bring you information about what's happening on the Liverpool Acoustic music scene. There's lots going on, including open mic nights and showcase events, and much of it is free. Each edition will also feature a song from Liverpool's deep pool of talented acoustic musicians. Free Rock & Roll is a night of FREE live music that takes place at The Caledonia Pub, Catherine Street, Liverpool every other Thursday. Free Rock & Roll from Chain Venues, Tribute Bands, A & R people, High Ticket Prices, Journalists, Merchandising, Guest Lists, Fashion, the Music Industry etc...(You get the idea). Free Rock & Roll is run by Pete Inner City Sumo and Jake Class A Audio. Music in between the bands is by the Punky Reggae Party.

The concept of SoundNetwork is to bring together artists and practitioners using sound in their work in the North West of England and beyond. Through meetings and creative events, exhibitions and performances you will be able to meet others who might become fellow collaborators, who may be able to facilitate your ideas technically, or who might just want to enthuse about the same area of work as yourself. SoundNetwork aims to open windows of opportunity for artists and to also make it easier for artists (and organisations) to offer opportunities to others. It will become a network run by you, not run for you.
