More about Moira Kenny

For the past year Moira has been investigating the problems associated with sound seepage when exhibiting audio within a museum or gallery. She has interviewed curators, sound engineers and sonic artists. The interviews are part of her practice and she is currently a post graduate researcher writing up her M. Res in Curatorial Practice at Liverpool Art School LJMU.

Her Director of studies is Professor Colin Fallows who has recently been described by a fan as 'The pope of sound'

I have also interviewed June Furlong as part of a bigger project that I have been working on for 18 months for a film entitled “The Liverpool legend June Furlong”.

June was a life model for over fifty years and posed for many famous artists including John Lennon, she was friends with Frank Auerbach and Lucien Freud the interview tells all. The film traces Junes’ footsteps back to Liverpool art school and is a montage of paintings and drawings that have been done by many artists over the years. The film soundtrack consists of the interview and specially written music by Mick Head of SHACK
