On Thursday 29th April at the Zoo Café Bar in St Helens, Johnny Vegas himself will be introducing the ‘world’s most travelled comedian’ Nick Wilty and the excitingly cheeky Gordon Southern for a night of fantastic stand-up.

Quirky globetrotter Nick Wilty, has performed on every continent except Antarctica (although he did a show in Tierra Del Fuego!), and has done shows in all major Festivals, including Edinburgh (6 times), Glastonbury (5 times), Auckland (twice), Wellington, Melbourne, Adelaide, Montreal (Just For Laughs), Vancouver, Edmonton, San Francisco, New York, Amsterdam, Cape Town & Hong Kong.

Liverpool Sound City have announced the first two headline acts to play in this year’s music festival. The girls lead the way with stunning vocalist Paloma Faith and Mercury Prize winner Speech Debelle visiting the city.

Also confirmed is musical legend Seymour Stein as the first of the keynote speakers, plus Wave Machines, Hook & the Twin, Grosvenor and Gold Panda joining the line up. They are all taking part in what has quickly become one of the top music festivals in the World today.

OK, not real Dinner ladies (actually I don't know) but Peter Benthams' not a Dinner Lady - That I know for sure. But they are all heading out on a tour across the country.

Alun Parry launches Woody Guthrie Folk Club

Liverpool is to have it's own Woody Guthrie folk club launching at the end of February.

Woody, a famous American singer-songwriter and folk musician inspired some of the greatest folk singers in our time most famously Bob Dylan.
