Hello everyone, welcome to the Liverpool Acoustic eXtra Spotlight for April 2011. Hope you’re all well and enjoying this wonderful sunshine we‘re having. First off on behalf of Stuart Todd and myself we would like to thank everyone who came to last month’s Liverpool Acoustic Extra opening night gig. For those who were there I’m sure you’ll agree it was a great night of live music. For those of you who missed it, fear not, because in the show notes below there is a video you can watch from the night.
Rathole Radio is on the loose again and nobody is safe! This time I played my usual eclectic mix of styles and waffled on in a seemingly never ending conversation with myself. I also remembered my guitar this time and played my version of the classic “Many Rivers To Cross” by Jimmy Cliff. What a seminal tune it is. There’s plenty of news about the Rathole Radio gig to dig your teeth into as well. I hope you enjoy the show.
Time for another Rathole Radio and this time I played a nice range of music. It encompassed everything from jazz to blues and electro to rock. Most of these tunes came from Jamendo and are also Creative Commons licensed which I encourage. There’s also a live recording of me playing with 20lb Sounds earlier this year.

Welcome to another Rathole Radio. I was back in the UK this time and back to a live broadcast. Many people joined me in the chat room and we had a good time. I played my usual eclectic mix of tunes and some listeners described the selection this time as “relaxed”. You can decide for yourself. I also gave my rendition of “Long May You Run” by Neil Young.

Welcome to another Rathole Radio. This show was originally broadcast on Sunday February 6th thanks to my good friend Herbie Green, but it was pre-recorded. I was away in Brussels during the time of the show but managed to line up a special interview with Nerdcore legend MC Frontalot. I also played my newest song inspired by events in Egypt. I hope you enjoy the show.
Rathole Dan - recorded this show but it went out live.... I'm confused by that - ED
Just when you thought it was safe… another Rathole Radio surfaces! This time I play my usual mix of eclectic music by the best independant and Creative Commons artists. We’ve got some Sourthern Rock, some electro, some jaunty jazz, some Nerdcore and plenty more besides. I also give my rendition of one of my favourite songs, “Mr Jones” by Counting Crows, complete with suspect guitar tuning and the occasional wrong chord. Well at least it proves it’s live. Hope you enjoy the ride.
The first Rathole Radio of 2011 and it went with a bang. Sadly I couldn’t do a live song after a 2hr gig with 20lb Sounds the night before. My voice was like a Shetland pony… a little horse, get it? Ok I’ll get my coat. I played my usual eclectic selection of music and had a good chat with everyone on IRC. I hope you enjoy the show.
A festive Rathole Radio this time, broadcast on December 26th. I even performed a Shakin Stevens Christmas song that won the live vote, you won’t hear that again soon. I had an eclectic mix of tracks as always and lots of fun chat was had in the IRC channel. I hope you all enjoy the show and have a great New Year
Winter greetings from Rathole headquarters. It’s icy here in the UK at the moment but I attempted to warm everyone up with some hearty tunes. A bit of Nerdcore, some rock, some acoustic tunes, a bit of funk and even some ragga. What more could you want? Ok don’t answer that. I also played a live song on the electric guitar this time. It was great to be on live again and chatting to people in the IRC. Hope you enjoy the show.
Greetings everyone. Settle in for another episode of Rathole Radio. No live broadcast this time I’m afraid because at the usual show time I was in London at a Public Enemy gig. You have to forgive me, I couldn’t miss this. I pre-recorded this show but it still contains the eclectic mix of great music you’re used to. There’s also an acoustic performance to enjoy, so I hope you will. Let’s rock!
Liverpool Acoustic Spotlight #35 - November 2010 The Jon Gomm special
This month's Liverpool Acoustic Live takes place on Friday 26th November at the View Two Gallery on Mathew Street and features three very different, but extremely talented, performers at the top of their game.
We're really excited that Jon Gomm will be headlining in his first Liverpool gig for over four years. Jon is one of the finest percussive guitarists in the UK today, and we're delighted that he's agreed to travel over from Leeds to play for us. Those of you lucky enough to get a ticket are in for a real treat!
