Amere3 (2002) Recorded at Bluecoat Arts Centre

This was recorded during the 2002 Frakture Festival Phil Hargreaves was one of the founders of Frakture, and is a player of mostly sax, and flute and cello. And he composed too. Rob Dainton’s drumming is nothing short of exhilarating and engrossing whilst Simon Fell is rightly one of the most appeared visiting musicians at Frakture, and a great double bass player who now appears too infrequently because he lives in France.

Look at http://www.whi-music.co.uk/ and www.brucesfingers.co.uk/info/biog.html and http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=182195915 who really should have made himself a Myspace page with music.

Track Length 10.18

Phil Hargreaves (sax / flute) Rob Dainton (drums) Simon Fell (double bass)

The impotent ranting of a frustrated sound designer who is perpetually at odds with the demands of society.

A prolific inventor of sound-emitting devices, Canadian artist and technician Le Caine (1914-1977) composed his Dripsodies in one night using only the sound of a single drop of water falling into a bucket, re-recorded at different speeds. Link
