LARC a consortium of Liverpool's 8 leading arts organisation are running a project to encourage wider cultural participation post Capital of Culture and volunteers are need to help out.

The new scheme is to encourage wider attendance of Liverpool’s galleries, museums, theatres and concert halls. The Open City project is now looking for inspirational volunteer co-ordinators to work with groups of people who think they might be interested in theatre, visual art, dance and music of all kinds.

Open City is a project that aims to support local people in becoming visitors at Liverpool arts venues. It aims to make people who have yet to take advantage of the city’s cultural offer to feel welcome, supported and excited about attending the arts in Liverpool. Working with all the major cultural organisations in Liverpool, Open City is looking for individuals who can combine a passion for the arts with an understanding of the issues relating to people who feel they cannot attend the arts.

All volunteers will receive training so if you are interested in playing a vital role in supporting people to attend or participate in the arts and are looking for a way to boost your own skills or simply meet new people, this could be just the opportunity for you. Email This email address is being protected from spambots.
