Build a Company Not a Product - Training for Liverpool based Digital Creatives

Routes to Market is a series of intensive sessions designed by industry professionals to help participants understand the opportunities and routes to market available to independent content producers and to prepare them to take full advantage of these. These sessions will lead to the Futureproof Summit in February 2013; which will be attended by leading buyers, investors, publishers and brands.

Futureproof: Routes to Market, is a bespoke programme of activity and support for games and digital companies in the Liverpool City region.

Session#2 in the series, entitled Build a Company Not a Product, looks at what it means to build a long term business.

For many companies and start-ups, the focus is often on what they want to make: how an app will work on a particular phone for example, or what features a product will have. But what happens when you think about building a company, and not a product? In this session we will hear and learn from experts who have adapted their approach to business by thinking about it in different ways and not having to rely on the one hit to succeed.

Confirmed speakers for this session include; AXM Venture Capital who manage the North West Fund for Digital and Creative, game developers Paw Print Games who've tasted success with their smash hit Kami Retro and the just released Swashbuckler developed in partnership with Paul Frank (out now for iOS), Damibu a leading developer that specialises in connected and high-end applications for mobile and web, the forthcoming Project EV: Liverpool an exciting accelerator programme for businesses with super growth potential, and more.
