Digital Utopias – from Google and Arts Council

Digital Utopias bannerI wasn’t able to make it to the recent Arts Council event Digital Utopias in Hull, a one-day conference, which said it would inspire and incite debate about how new technologies are enabling creativity across the arts. Sadly I was away in Bristol teaching and I haven’t been able to split myself yet so I could be in two places at once!

But luckily they did live stream it (although not that well advertised) but it did mean that they recorded the whole session and have made that available via youtube.

Enjoy the video and seek out the rest on their youtube channel

The conference aimed to capture topical and diverse approaches to curation, archiving, collecting and creating across a range of art forms, from the visual arts to theatre.

It’s my own personal history project stretching back to 2007 – with hundreds of recorded interviews, podcasts and plays. This section of the site is pretty old so don’t expect it to work all the time and ignore it asking for Real Player to be loaded.

So Listener beware!!!

Take you pick from a selection of Liverpool audio guides, its musical history, heritage tours, slavery remembrance tours, and Visit England’s official guide.
