Make Shift Do @DoesLiverpool on Saturday 29th October

Does Liverpool makeshiftdoSinging Glowing Pumpkins, T-Shirts Printing and Electronic Jewellery the chance for a tour around the Liverpool maker space – Who could ask for more.

Liverpool loves it’s maker spaces and are always seeking opportunities to show it off, so this opportunity to find out how to make electronic jewellery and Singing Pumpkins, is the perfect chance to go and have a look around. It will also give you the time to ask about all the other goodies that they have their, whether it be the 3D printing or laser cutting; or maybe even the vinyl cutter.

Will this Crafts Council initiative give you the making bug? We think so.

Does will be showcasing a selection of the many different things made by the people who use the space, from internet-connected electronics to laser-cut stencils for glass fusing, large-scale 3D printed models to machine-knitted hats and pinhole cameras made from plywood sheets. There will also be group-based projects including a Knitic knitting machine, and other current projects, the Tosca polargraph, a drawing machine for walls.

On the day Does will be running a selection of workshops which you can book for in advance at a nominal cost, including T shirt decorating, simple electronic jewellery and Halloween singing glowing pumpkins. See below for how to book.

It’s my own personal history project stretching back to 2007 – with hundreds of recorded interviews, podcasts and plays. This section of the site is pretty old so don’t expect it to work all the time and ignore it asking for Real Player to be loaded.

So Listener beware!!!

Take you pick from a selection of Liverpool audio guides, its musical history, heritage tours, slavery remembrance tours, and Visit England’s official guide.
