The eHealth Cluster brings together a wide range of disparate groups with an interest in eHealth. The cluster brings groups of complementary organisations together to learn from each other, be aware of how other groups work and use local skills and resources much more effectively, making the most of the opportunities in eHealth for all concerned. There is scope to develop so much more cluster working in the complex and challenging world of eHealth.

Innovate UK: Technology-inspired Innovation
Deadline: 9th March 2016  (although has been delayed)
Up to £2million available for technical feasibility studies to stimulate innovation across four enabling technology areas: advanced materials; biosciences; electronics, sensors and photonics; and information and communication technologies (ICT). More information here

Innovate UK: Detection and  Treatment of Hearing Loss

Deadline: 21st April 2016  
As part of the SBRI programme, this CDE themed competition seeks proof of concept research proposals to develop solutions that monitor, diagnose, treat and restore noise-induced hearing loss and tinnitus. Up to £500,000 is available, and there is a briefing event on 9th February . More details here

Welcome Trust: Pathfinder Awards
Deadline: 20th June 2016
This scheme, offering pilot funding of around £100k to catalyse innovative early-stage applied research and development projects in areas of unmet medical need, has been expanded. It now funds discrete projects from applicants in the UK and Republic of Ireland as well as partnerships between academia and industry based anywhere in the world.  More information here
