LIVERPOOL TO LIVERPOOL
3,000 miles, 181 drawings, 1 container ship, Simon Faithfull’s epic journey, reflecting Liverpool’s history as a port, becomes a permanent artwork for the city.

Liverpool to Liverpool is the public art component of the Lime Street Gateway project, the visually-stunning new city centre gateway for Liverpool, which is scheduled to complete in April 2010.

'Colour Collection' by Xitina Ferrés. The paintings reflect the strong influence of light and colour from quite diverse landscapes, including Wirral and the Costa Brava in her native Spain.
This series of paintings represent an on going exploration of light, colour and motion. Using water colours and acrylics on paper and canvas, the collection has evolved from a previous body of work and invites the viewer to consider the powerful connections that exist between colour and emotion.

WEDNESDAY 7 April 2010 at Liverpool Academy of Arts

In April we welcome Merseyside artist Maxine Shisselle. Maxine started painting at a very early age, moving on at 13 to Liverpool Art High School and eventually to a Fine Art Degree at Wirral Metropolitan College. For this exhibition she has focused on figurative and impressionistic works, many of them with Merseyside subjects. Exhibition details

The exhibition consisits of photos taken by Arthur Gold who was asked to go to Tamil Nadu, India to take photographs for The Maggie Higgins Memorial School this January.
