Keep on Blabbing

Do as Matt Booth does, the web designer come event organiser who upon feeling a bit left out in the cold and wanting to talk to others about his design practice decided to set up a regular event where web workers like himself could meet, talk and disucss the erudite matters pertaining to web design.

The Reader Organisation are looking for web workers to get involved in a project coming up at the end of January to help them promote reading to the people of Liveprool as part of an event called Impact48.

The Reader has high hopes for the weekend and is looking for volunteers who can build apps, develop a website for the Liverpool – City of Readers’ project and create a marketing campaign that uses social media to promote the project. One app which the Readers think would be great would be a reading tour of Liverpool linking stories, authors and events to a mobile app – but a key aspect of the weekend is to find new exciting ways to get the city reading using technology.

Merry Christmas from all at Defnet

Don't have that hang dog look

Merry Christmas from everyone at Defnet.

Here at Defnet Towers, we breaking out the mince pies and warming up the mulled wine, so we thought we would take a moment to say "Thank you all for your support throughout the year".

We're really looking forward to 2016 and everything that it holds. We have projects in planning to complement the regular events such as Ignite Liverpool and Jelly Liverpool and we have work a plenty, with website building, workshops to run, advice to give and Live Streaming to ... well stream.

So for now good folks - thank you again for your friendship, advice, and most importantly work contracts.
