Re: Using a USB mic with Audition 2.00 : Adobe Audition, Soundbooth.

Kumar Kumar you rule…. A great answer from Kumar

I think I know the answer to your problem. I also faced the same problem and solved it myself.

Goto
Edit -> Audio Hardware Setup.

Now under the “Edit View” tab you will see the button “Control Panel…”
Click on that button.
In the next window you will see two groups

1)DirectSound Ouput Ports
2)DirectSound Input Ports

Under DirectSound Input Ports whatever is present, you will see that it is not selected. Select it (a cross mark appears) and then click OK and OK.
Thats it! Everything should be fine 🙂
Enjoy…

Art in Liverpool podcast

This is what i get up to with www.artinliverpool.com – Liverpool’s premier artistic resource on Merseyside.  We do a weekly (mostly) podcast about what is going on in the arts visual mostly) in Liverpool.

My reason for posting is to check soundcloud’s plugin compatibility with wordpress so as to examine other options for publishing sound in a social media world.

The podcast itself has been described as “quite good” by one twittering friend who I shall remain nameless.

Silent Sound

Silent Sound from Iain & Jane on Vimeo.

I’m not sure I can dare to press the play button on the video. The piece makes the hair on my back stand on end and i get a violent urge to run from the house. I still have the CD which i can’t listen to.

Thank you Iain and Jane (i think)

Talking about a revolution

I’d put this off for ages but when Alan Dunn contacted me to ask if I had received his Revolution CD catholic guilt surronded me and I said yes but i hadn’t listened to any of it.

My guilt is now dissolved as i have listened to at least one cd and there are some great tracks gathered from around the globe. I had to withhold my laughter at some which always looks as if you are having a fit when in a crowded public place – absolute class it is.

Amongst the serious talk of revolution from political figures across the years is a track from – Sisters Of Revolution excerpts from 9th Floor Radio Show courtesy of Sisters Of Revolution and 9th Floor Radio, an Internet radio station broadcasting from Laney College in Oakland, California, USA- which i just loved.

Take a listen – http://www.alandunn67.co.uk/revolutionmp3.html

And enjoy.
