WordPress
This is the software that we use to run this site. It is the quickest and easiest way to launch a web site that is Web 2.0-ready. It’s free.
I really don’t understand why more people don’t use it – It is free and part of the community of free software that is available for anyone to use and alter as they see fit – you don’t get that from others.
I wanted to explain why I have started this adittional blog when I have the main site, that i could use.
Well it kind of goes like this. I have used Joomla and I have used wordpress and both are similar but different. I never had any website trouble when I used wordpress as my main site. Using Joomla really opened my eyes to how little i really new about website hosting, maintenance, construction, the list could go on and on.
So this is a place where i can talk about the issue i have had and the ways in which i have overcome problems.
I am going to install the old wordpress Defnet Media site on this server so that I can use it as another example site. It will be great to use as a tool for the workshops.
Just remember the more you learn – the more you realise the little that you do know.

Trying to manage a website means you face numerous problems especially if you are trying to do it all yourself. Posted here will be problems and hopefully solutions.
