As part of the Bluecoat Bed-in Sunshine Gray was asked to produce a piece of music. Members of the public were invited to record their voices to Give peace a Chance. So I had to have a go – it also gave me the opportunity to meet Daz and Sunshine both of whom who had contributed to Art in Liverpool FM.

I think I know the answer to your problem. I also faced the same problem and solved it myself.
Goto
Edit -> Audio Hardware Setup.
Now under the “Edit View” tab you will see the button “Control Panel…”
Click on that button.
In the next window you will see two groups
1)DirectSound Ouput Ports
2)DirectSound Input Ports
Under DirectSound Input Ports whatever is present, you will see that it is not selected. Select it (a cross mark appears) and then click OK and OK.
Thats it! Everything should be fine 🙂

The British Library has made 28,000 rare recordings available free online.
The collection focuses on both traditional English music and recordings gathered from across the globe by British-based scholars.
The 2,000 hours of material ranges from a rendition of Any Old Iron in Birmingham, to performances by Ugandan royal musicians.
The recordings, which represent a fraction of the library’s audio archives, are available on its website.
This is so bad of me to copy a page and paste it here, but at the same time my defence is this is just such a great software resource I had to shout about it. Download, play with them and enjoy.
