Before a podcasting workshop I’m running this week – I sent the work shop participants this email with a few tasks to do before hand and a few helpful reminders.Here is a bit of Home Work before you start the workshop on Tuesday – It is really helpful if you have registered on a few sites we will be using and in some cases downloaded some software (if your bringing your own laptop)
Please register on this wordpress site of mine The Log in Here section in the right hand panel. This is where we will be posting our finished audio and embedding audio players.

Here are some other sites for you to register with. You may want to think of a user name before you do – one that you will remember.
They are free to join and quite simple to use.
If you are bringing your own laptop please download
Audacity http://www.download-audacity.com/ and if you are comfortable with it install it prior to the workshop.
Typical items that allow you to record audio
mobile phones,
digital cameras
video cameras
certain ipods
Also bring any audio recorders you may have, spare batteries, leads to connect them to your PC. If you have a laptop please bring it.
