Want to represent your city at the End of the Road Festival?

Arts Council England’s Take it away scheme is running a competition to find 3 class acts to perform at the End of the Road Festival in September 2008 as the grand finale to its Most Musical City campaign.

The competition is open to groups and solo performers of any kind from rock and pop to indie, folk, jazz and classical.

All you need to do to enter the competition is add Most Musical City as a friend.

Remember to say in your message which of the following cities you’d like to represent: Birmingham, Brighton, Bristol, Colchester, Leicester, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield.

If you or your band don’t have a MySpace page – no problem! – just send us a message anyway along with a link to your website, YouTube posting or any other details about your band and we’ll look you up!

If you want to just add us without entering the competition, just go ahead!

The campaign to find England’s Most Musical City runs until Friday 30 May 2008. Make sure you’re in the running and ask your friends to vote now for your city. Every vote counts!

First prize will go to a band/artist selected from the entries representing the winning city who will be our headline act on the Take it away unsigned stage at the End of the Road Festival in September 2008.

Second prize will go to a band/artist representing the runner up city.

Third prize will be selected by our panel and will go to the best band/artist representing the remaining 8 cities.

Stop Thinking about it and just get on and do it.
