OPENS: “Glimpses of Light”

New exhibition of Abstract Colour Paintings by Christine O’Reilly Wilson.
The canvas is flooded with vibrant colour. Paint is applied in thin translucent layers that build up the intensity and opaque appearance of the base layer. Contrasting paint is sponged, poured, and dripped down the surface. The canvas is scored to reveal what is beneath; giving a history to the construction of the image. The whole process is an attempt to relate the human experience by means of the pure aesthetics of abstract colour. Exhibition details
