Art in Liverpool FM

art in liverpool fm logo web

It’s my own personal history project stretching back to 2007 – with hundreds of recorded interviews, podcasts and plays. This section of the site is pretty old so don’t expect it to work all the time and ignore it asking for Real Player to be loaded.

So Listener beware!!!

Take you pick from a selection of Liverpool audio guides, its musical history, heritage tours, slavery remembrance tours, and Visit England’s official guide.

NEWS

n

The Mankey Monkey Generalissimo and his Wag wife come into the “Studio” and they did the impossible they made Ian and I speechless. They also appear to have thrown a big banana at my recording equipment. David and Eirin Hallangen Lake have started this campaign to raise money for the Imagine appeal at Alder Hey Childrens Hospital – and good luck to them and their alter ego’s – mad though they are. www.mankeymonkey.com

n

Back to reality – Now that the final episode of the BBC2 Design For Life with Philippe Starck has finished and we know that Liverpool designer and college lecturer Ilsa Parry won (Congratulations Ilsa – a really cool design) its worth a reminder that you can meet her and the other finalist Michael Cloke at the Liverpool Design Festival.

n

Visitors to the Eco Design Show (30 Oct – 1 Nov 2009) in The Crypt can meet Ilsa who will be selling her clever Kaspa lamps that glow in the dark long after the bulb is switched off and Michael who takes waste items and turns them into useful household objects.

n

And a reminder too that there is an exclusive 2 for 1 ticket offer for ArtInLiverpool readers

n

Artinliverpool Supports ‘Under The Mud’ DVD Launch Glad to see that Ian is supporting this after i posted about it last month. And who can blame him for wanting to see his name on the back of a bus.
