Art in Liverpool FM

art in liverpool fm logo web

It’s my own personal history project stretching back to 2007 – with hundreds of recorded interviews, podcasts and plays. This section of the site is pretty old so don’t expect it to work all the time and ignore it asking for Real Player to be loaded.

So Listener beware!!!

Take you pick from a selection of Liverpool audio guides, its musical history, heritage tours, slavery remembrance tours, and Visit England’s official guide.

LIGHT NIGHT 14 May – Be aware that Friday 14th May is Light Night

Charlotte Corrie at Open Culture says it will be a fantastic evening city centre cultural festival that coincides with Museums at Night, an EU wide festival. The format of the Light Night will not be very different from the previous Long Nights, although this time the evening will start as family friendly as we can but it doesn’t have to end up like that! To make the job of selling the overall offer and collating the marketing brochure easier we have created a simple online form for you all to complete. Please click on the link, follow the step by step instructions and once submitted all your info will automatically be added to our giant spreadsheet http://tinyurl.com/LightNight2010

Through photographs featuring cricketers such as Viv Richards, Paul Adams and Basil D’Oliveira, the exhibition celebrates contemporary players who, by playing in the boundary of the cricket pitch, broke the boundaries of racial apartheid. Beyond the Bounda ry explores the story of enslavement and oppression of people from the African Diaspora globally, and their deep connections with cricket.
