It’s my own personal history project stretching back to 2007 – with hundreds of recorded interviews, podcasts and plays. This section of the site is pretty old so don’t expect it to work all the time and ignore it asking for Real Player to be loaded.

So Listener beware!!!

Take you pick from a selection of Liverpool audio guides, its musical history, heritage tours, slavery remembrance tours, and Visit England’s official guide.

NEWS
Official Visitor and Economic Impact Figures for Liverpool Biennial 2008

Liverpool Biennial is delighted to announce that the 2008 Festival again demonstrated its place as the UK’s largest international contemporary visual arts festival by attracting 451,000 visitors who made 975,000 visits, creating an economic impact of £26.6m according to independent research just released.

Lewis Biggs, Artistic Director, commented: “The research shows how, in the past few years, there has been a sea change in perceptions within and outside the city. Liverpool’s investment in the excellence of its public art is now payig huge dividends in terms of economic and cultural regeneration. More and more people, from the UK and abroad, want to examine Liverpool, its status and its future, through the medium of high profile art projects and urban design. Above all, the power of art to generate meaningful conversation is clearly deeply felt amongst our visitors. It is good for them, for the community and for Liverpool as a whole.”
