The E-Health cluster newsltter brings you information about what is going in in the Digital Health field in Liverpool and the opportubnities that are available, from news and events to funding opportunities for the average everyday developer type.

n n

1. Tunstall day. Wednesday the 19th March, Clever people get to talk to Tunstall under the protection if an NDA about products and services they might be able to sell to this Health/Social Care Technology market leader. 19th of March. Now thrown open to anyone who thinks they have something to offer.

n

2. AHSN Friday the 28th of March. Digital Solutions in Healthcare Day. This is going to be excellent. The AHSNs across the country have a lot of NHS money to spend and the job of finding and funding new ways of giving contracts to innovative SMEs. They want to remove the old procurement roadblocks. This is the first significant North West Coast AHSN event. Please get involved.

n

Third. The National Health IT Conference and Exhibition. 19th and 20th of March. It is free. In Manchester.

n

n

Soft funding update.

n

1. Nominet’s seed fund for Social Tech closes on the 2nd of April.

n

2. Always check the Technology Strategy Board site.  27th of March is SMART deadline.  Every 2 months rolling programme. £25k to investigate an idea (no development of product allowed but what you do with the fees you charge for looking into market potential is your business). Light touch auditing. Takes about 12-14 hours to write a bid. Less if you have an existing set of words to build on. It requires similar content to a Business Model Canvas – just a little more detail and clarity. And you get feedback from three industry experts which is really useful in itself. You can submit a second time with the benefit of this feedback.

This Cluster Newsletter and many related activities are brought to you by the More Independent  Consortium and Liverpool Vision with funding from TSB dallas.

This isn’t just about the money, it is also about the local NHS, Council and Voluntary and Community Sector actively wanting to work with entrepreneurs and technologists.

It’s my own personal history project stretching back to 2007 – with hundreds of recorded interviews, podcasts and plays. This section of the site is pretty old so don’t expect it to work all the time and ignore it asking for Real Player to be loaded.

    So Listener beware!!!

Take you pick from a selection of Liverpool audio guides, its musical history, heritage tours, slavery remembrance tours, and Visit England’s official guide.
