eHealth Cluster at the iLinks Conference
We have been given the “Digital space” at the iLINKS conference on the 7th July. Cluster members are exhibiting and taking part in workshops throughout the day. If you are attending iLINKs please do come along to the Digital Space, say hello and join in the discussions.

IFB 2016
Have you been to any of the IFB2016 events? The cluster has received several enquiries from companies and organisations attending the IFB. We have had contact with people from Brazil, Dublin and America so far with more meetings planned this week. Our next newsletter we will include a summary of the relevant contacts.

Local Growth Hub – new platform launch
Liverpool City Region has recently launched a new platform Local Growth Hub, that creates a joined up approach to business support. By actively engaging SMEs and growth businesses across the six local authority areas it aims to make it easier for SME businesses in the City Region to discover the best commercial advice and support to help them grow. The mission is to simplify the local and national business support landscape and remove barriers to access for local SMEs and growth businesses. Find out more here

People and Communities Board: Six Principles for Engaging People and Communities
NHS England established the People and Communities Board to realise the ambition set out in the Five Year Forward View to forge ‘a new relationship with patients and communities’. They have just published the Six Principles for Engaging People and Communities, which aims to make it easier for local NHS bodies to create person-centred and community-focussed services.

SBRI Healthcare Competition
Deadline: Thursday 28th July
Companies are being invited to bid for funding to develop solutions to improve patient flow in acute care and independence for children with long-term conditions in the latest competition from SBRI Healthcare. Successful companies can each receive up to £100,000 phase one feasibility funding to develop products that improve patient flow in acute care, and self-care options for children with long-term conditions. Sefton Council: Tender for the Provision of a 0-19 Healthy Child Programme
Expressions of interest by: 29 July /2016
Sefton MBC’s vision is “to give every child in Sefton the best start in life and help and support young people to make healthier life choices” and they intend to make this happen by securing the services of experienced and suitably qualified organisation to provide a universal public health service, providing expert information, assessment and interventions for babies, children, families and young people of school age. Women in innovation: Infocus funding award
Deadline for registration: 24 August 2016
Innovate UK has up to £200,000 and a package of tailored support to award to businesswomen who have exciting ideas and the potential to become leaders in innovation and deliver significant economic growth. Each of the 12 finalists in the competition will receive a package of support tailored to their needs, and the four winners will each receive £50,000 to support their innovation project or activities. Innovate UK: Innovative R&D projects
Register by: 31 August 2016
Deadline: 7 September 2016
Innovate UK is to invest up to £15 million in innovative R&D projects. The aim is to enhance UK competitiveness, growth and improve national productivity, and to help businesses develop new products, processes and services with commercial potential. Projects can be drawn from any technology, engineering or industrial area, and should demonstrate disruptive, cutting-edge innovations and businesses should demonstrate ambition and potential for growth. Digital Health Speed Networking event
Applications by: Tuesday 5th July
The Knowledge Transfer Network is hosting an exclusive event that will bring industry leaders together with high-growth potential entrepreneurs offering innovative digital solutions that use personal data to transform healthcare. The session will showcase companies developing disruptive data capture technologies, innovative data-driven applications and visualisation techniques, and new ways of sharing personal data. Jelly Liverpool – Creative Digital co-working and pop up office

HealthTech Women is a global, non-profit community all about bringing together and empowering women in healthcare and technology.
