Jelly Liverpool is a Liverpool based network, that organises monthly pop up offices where freelancers can get together and work for the day.

Do you work for yourself as a freelancer or contractor? Then maybe you are sitting at home chatting to the cat or dog, insisting that you have to clean the kitchen before you answer emails. If this is you and working from home is getting you down and eliminating your thought flow. Then you’ll be interested in Jelly Liverpool as they are holding an event at Launch 22 on Tithebarn Street on the 7th July.

n

It’s free to attend and offers those who work independently or remotely an environment where you can broaden your network whilst continuing to work. There is no hard sell, no sell at all, and you chat all day or just sit and concentrate on your work. There is free coffee and super fast broadband wifi, plus occasionally there is free lunch provided.

n

Launch 22 is based on the 6th Floor of the Tempest Building, Tithebarn Street – that’s the one with the funky image on the back of it.  Launch 22 itself is a coworking space …. if you are unfamiliar with the concept then simply it is a place that small businesses can go to and rent open plan office space by the day or by the week. It’s really reasonable and starts at £10 per day.  If you attend Jelly Liverpool then you can use the space all day for free.

n

Jelly Liverpool was started by Open Labs a project run by John Moores University and has been going ever since. In fact Jelly Liverpool is going to be at Open Labs on the 21st July.

n

So don’t suffer the silence when you can work with others.

It’s my own personal history project stretching back to 2007 – with hundreds of recorded interviews, podcasts and plays. This section of the site is pretty old so don’t expect it to work all the time and ignore it asking for Real Player to be loaded.

    So Listener beware!!!

Take you pick from a selection of Liverpool audio guides, its musical history, heritage tours, slavery remembrance tours, and Visit England’s official guide.
