One of Liverpool’s leading theatre schools is throwing open its doors for its annual musical theatre Summer School, which is open to youngsters from across Merseyside between the ages of 7 and 19 years.

To coincide with those ‘Summer Days,’ Performers Theatre School are proud to announce that this year’s production will be ‘Greasemania’! Now they are looking for a cast to star in it! The search has begun for Danny, Sandy, Rizzo, Frenchy, Marty, Jan, Kenicke and Vince Fontaine! There are also parts for The "Pink Ladies" the pink-jacketed, gum-chewing, hip-swinging girls' gang and also The "Burger Palace Boys" - a super-cool, hard-looking group of high school wheeler-dealers...or so they think!

This month they've got three more fantastic local performers, and one international performer with a touch of eastern promise!

This month's Liverpool Acoustic Live event takes place on Friday 25th June 2010 at the View Two Gallery on Mathew Street. The doors open at 8.00pm with the music starting at 8.30pm and finishing at 11.15pm.

This weekend Merseyside Dance Initiative have a great public spectacular taking place called "City Steps"

And it's all part of MDI's continued year of Dance, to celebrate 18 years of the LEAP Contemporary Dance Festival which promises an exceptional line up of dance artists and companies performing for the second half of the year. This weekend it's four Squares and one Window as performers will be in Queen, Derby, Williamson and Clayton Squares plus Marks and Spencer's window
