halIf you go to Cafes in Liverpool then you'll recognise this man?

This is Hal Lever who is a regular at the likes of Leaf on Bold Street, Bold St Coffee and Franklins Cafe at Fact Liverpool. At one stage in his life people would sneer at him and abuse him for being drunk when really he just doesn't have full control over his tongue and jaw due to a brain injury that saw him incarcerated in a mental institution of old.

In the early days after his accident Hal would go to cafes to practice his speech by talking to strangers and engageing them with the story of his accident, he still does the same today but now his story is different. Today his story is about how he is working on an Indiegogo campaign to help him raise funds to create a piece of theatre to help other people learn that you don't have to be held back by your disability.  Today when he sits in cafes he creates CGI Animations which is one of his passions, he will happily show all the cafe staff and the customers to. I've watched him entertain a group of Japanese tourists with his redition of Sukiyaki again something he practices to help his voice.

Hal is crowd funding via Indiegogo to help him raise money to produce I'm Not Drunk Honest, a piece of theatre that only Hal could produce, a one hander where he stands and talks to himself admittedly a CGI of himself but still. He discusses his accident, how he recovered and the trouble he had along the way.

Even if you can't contribute do check out his campaign.
