Art and Crafts: Call for Stall holders

There will be a series of monthly Liverpool ONE Arts & Craft Fairs following the success of a trial event in early May this year. Open Culture are also announcing a new event ‘Art by the Ferry’ at Woodside Ferry Terminal this August, which is a trial event that they hope will be the first in a series of events!

First lecture in the "Public Lectures in Astronomy" series organised by the ARI.  Dr Bob Fosbury (former director of the Space Telescope - European Coordinating Facility in Garching) will be discussing the Hubbble Telescope.

Clapperboard returns with another of their ‘Clapperboard Presents...’ series of popular movie evenings on Monday 27 June 2011, celebrating award-winning local talent.

Followed by Q & A with Actor Paul Barber, Writer/Actor James McMartin and Writer/Director James Marquan

Winner of best film at the New York Film Festival, written by Liverpool actor James McMartin, directed by James Marquand, Dead Man’s Cards has a star-studded cast including Paul Barber, Samantha Womack, Gary Mavers, Lisa Parry, Andrew Schofield and was the final feature film of late acclaimed actor, Tom Bell.

posterawfOn Saturday 9th July, Love Music Hate Racism will be joning forces with the Anthony Walker Foundation to bring you a day of non-stop entertainment!

Taking place all around the Liverpool University grounds, the AWF festival has a whole host of entertainment throughout the day, including live music performances, DJ’s, dance and carnival routines, circus performers, african drumming, workshops, sports events, cultural foods and much more – FREE for the whole day.

Africa Oye is this weekend
