Call out for speakers at Ignite Liverpool

They are currently looking for speakers/presenters to take part in their July event in what according to Seven Streets for Inventiveness, Ignite Liverpool is one of the Seven reasons why Liverpool is Brilliant so why don't you attend and take part.

The saving of the Florrie

florence02Check out the fantatsic film by Tim Brunsden from Light Factory for his project Liverpool Stories. It examines the Florence Institure or the Florrie as it is known locally, the building has been derelict for years but through the fortitude of the local community it has been saved, renonvated and is now reopen to the the very same community who saved it. 

 

Poster_Climate_Change_0412 A new short course is now available from the Workers Education Authority that offers 'An introduction to climate change and peak oil and what can be done by individuals and communities to move towards a sustainable low-carbon future.'
