Rocky SpontaneRicky Spontane annouce gigs this December in Liverpool and London.

So good to see that Fats and Frank and Formby will be being performed again in the city of its birth namely Liverpool. 52 Catherine Street, the home of most of the band members at one point in time will be straining at its foundations to try and make it down to the gig at the Kazimier on Friday 9th.

I'm already dusting off my RS Tshirt and digging out my CD's to get them signed.

Band managers are in the backseat

images_7Merseyside ACME present a seminar for Music Managers on 27th October at Leaf Cafe.

You don’t have to be a Colonel Tom Parker, an Allen Klein or a Peter Grant to know that the management game is complex.

Whether self-releasing or aiming for stadiums and majors it’s a potential minefield. There’s a whole raft of people you’ll need to have on side; a great accountant, a savvy PR, a clued up social media expert and a very, very smart lawyer and that’s all while dealing with the talent itself.

Come feast your eyes – and, of course, your ears - on an evening of awe-inspiring music videos, astounding online nuggets and a unique brand of sit down comedy with Adam Buxton - comedian, writer, broadcaster, video director, general music video enthusiast and YouTube comment wrangler. Following a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe, Adam presents a selection of his favourite music videos from the BUG shows at London’s BFI Southbank over the past year, along with some delightfully unbalanced commentary from the YouTube community, all interspersed with his some gems of his own making.
