Art in Liverpool FM

art in liverpool fm logo webIt's my own personal history project stretching back to 2007 - with hundreds of recorded interviews, podcasts and plays. This section of the site is pretty old so don't expect it to work all the time and ignore it asking for Real Player to be loaded.

So Listener beware!!!

Creative digital - pop up office

fact at jellyYes, it's a pop up office - a one day affair with a group of strangers who also happen to work in the digital/creating sector.

Jelly Liverpool as it's known is a concept that has been shipped in from New York where Jelly's have been taking place since the noughties. The concept is to give those people who work alone on a contract or freelance basis the opportunity to meet up, share expereinces, contacts and generally have a productive day.

Ignite Liverpool have put a call out for Inspiring speakers to take part in the 4th November event at Leaf Cafe. If you have never come across it before then it's an event of 14 speakers who stand up and present for five minutes at a time on a subject of their choice.

TEDx Liverpool announce date for 2014

tedxliverpoolIt's great to see that 2014 will see the return of TEDx Liverpool for the International Festival for Business in 2014. And it's set to take place on Saturday, 19 July 2014, so plenty of time to get it into your diary.

The 2014 theme will be "Home & Away" celebrating people living and working in Liverpool today as well as our 'expatriates' doing great things further afield.

We all know the typical format for Ignite Liveprool - take 20 slides and talk for 5 minutes about a subject that you are passinate about but now for the brave Ignite Liverpool have started a finale event for each evening where a VOLUNTEER is given an improvisational challenge. The challenge is to take twenty random unseen slides and tell a story throughout.

You can check out the first one presented at last months Ignite below by Alex Nursall, who took the topic of Canada as her Improv subject.
