The Art Organisation is 10 yrs old this week and having a celebration on Friday at the International which they are re-opening after some refurbishment. This is there new base for a while and have an exhibition. They're becoming a charity and also setting up a CIC as they move onto their next phase.
Liverpool Design Festival 2010 – The Design Show: Call For Entries Announcement
The Liverpool Design Festival was launched in November 2009 as a new annual design and contemporary craft festival in Liverpool. The 2010 Festival, building on the success of the previous year’s events, celebrates and promotes quality design, encouraging an appreciation of craft and design by the widest possible audience, providing opportunities for participation, particularly by young people, in design and artistic appreciation whilst also supporting new and emerging practitioners.
The Liverpool Design Festival will run from the 19th November to 28th November 2010.

Ian Whittlesea was born in 1967, studied painting at Chelsea College of Art and sculpture at the Royal College, and lives in London. His work is often concerned with words, and with the lives and work of other artists and writers. It involves putting information in space, or taking it from the page and into the world, where it makes new relationships between biography, reading, writing and looking at words. It assumes many forms: from painstaking paintings that can take years to make, to ephemeral posters and transient projections.

Michael Treanor is a self taught watercolour artist who has developed his own distinctive style. He admires freshness and spontaneity in painting and endeavours to achieve this in all his work.
Halima Cassell is one of the UK’s leading young ceramic artists. Born in Pakistan and brought up in Manchester and her current hometown of Blackburn, Halima now exhibits her acclaimed ceramics throughout the world. Exhibition details
Hollywood is about image and perception, the roles that we play in life .... just like in a movie! Urban Strawberry Lunch, working out of the ruins of St Luke’s Church have been working in collaboration with photography group FAB Collective and over 60 homeless people to produce original music and photographs forming the basis of this multimedia performance and exhibition. Musician Rebecca Joy Sharp and artist Elizabeth Willow would like to invite you to a delightful afternoon of tea & cakes at Metal, as they prepare for their new performance at the station in May - The Ballad of Juniper Davy and Sonny Lumière. They are interested in hearing stories from people who have grown up in the area or who have memories of Edge Hill Station to help develop thier ideas for the piece.
Eleven contemporary artists demonstrate the importance of line and form within their art practice. Pure line and clean forms are represented while, in contrast, the richness and complexity that can evolve from these fundamental creative components is also celebrated. Exhibiting Artists are:
