Packing the full flavour of the festival, this year’s programme bursts with music, dance, film, food, literature and family activities. Of the various venues across the city, the centrepiece of the weekender, the Family Day, will be taking over the Bluecoat.

Arabic Poetry & Fiction Reading: Hassan Blasim & Joumana Haddad

A fascinating event with two exciting Arabic writers; short story author Hassan Blasim (Iraq) and poet Joumana Haddad (Lebanon), who will read from and discuss their work in the company of Ra Page of Comma Press, publisher of Madinah: City Stories from the Middle East.
